Following a review of the direction by Workplace Standards for the wearing of Hi-Vis vests at the Brighton Trial Track, Tasracing has determined that the most practical approach is that whenever the lure is in operation or there is work being carried out in the area Hi-Vis vests or other Hi-Vis garment must be worn.
If participants are just training their dogs and there is no work being carried out in the area then, while it is recommended that Hi-Vis still be worn, it will not be compulsory.
Participants are required to provide their own Hi-Vis vests, although the GOTBAT has been provided with a small supply for use by officials during trial sessions.
