Tasracing has approved a change in the stake money distribution for Tasbred heats. All starters finishing sixth to last in a heat will receive $250.
If there are fewer starters than the field limit, the $250 for each is distributed equally between horses placed first to fifth. For example, if the field limit is 12 and there are seven starters, the remaining $1,250 is allocated equally between first to fifth resulting in $250 more for each horse.
The change has been enacted to provide further incentive for owners of Tasbred’s to enter horses for the six legs of the series – Dandy Patch (2YO C&G), Evicus (2YO Fillies), Globe Derby (3YO C&G), Bandbox (3YO Fillies), Raider Stakes (4YO E&G) and Granny Smith (4YO Mares).
The stake money distribution for the $10,000 heats will be:
