Following a review of the funding provided to breeders, the DNA subsidy for brood bitches and the Vaccination/Microchip/Rearing rebate will be concluded.
The payments will be phased out over a two month period with the DNA subsidy for breeding females only being payable for samples despatched to the laboratory prior to 15 June 2015 and the subsidy being claimed prior to 31 July 2015.
The Vaccination/Microchip/Rearing rebate will only remain payable for litters whelped prior to 1 September 2015 and which are registered with Racing Services Tasmania within five months of birth.
The re-allocation of the funds provided for these payments will be reviewed within the framework of the 2015/16 budget.
