Policy Manual Amended

Wednesday 20 July 2016

Tasracing has amended the Feature Events, Minimum Nominations and Race Programming policies effective from 1 August 2016.

The Feature Events policy has been amended so that when a Final Only of a series is conducted, then those greyhounds which were nominated for the heats will be given first consideration for selection.

Changes to the Minimum Nominations and Race Programming policies are in respect to the non-penalty Reverse Order of Choice races which will no longer be referred to as heats and a final.  The greyhounds which contest the non-penalty races one week will be deemed nominated for a full penalty graded race the following week.

Changes to the Master races, where these will now be restricted to grade 4 & 5 greyhounds over the age of 42 months, have also been implemented.

The rotation of grades for Short Sprint races has been amended to provide races for Grade 6 greyhounds twice in each rotation.
