Tasmania’s return to racing

The first race meeting since the industry was forced to shut down because of the Covid-19 pandemic will be held at Ladbrokes Racing Centre Mowbray in Launceston on Sunday (14 June).

The thoroughbred meeting will be followed that evening by a harness meeting at Ladbrokes Park Elwick and a greyhound meeting on Monday (15 June) at Mowbray.

The first Tasmanian race meeting in more than two months will include:

  • A special Tasracing TV broadcast at racingathome.goracingtasmania.com.au from 2pm.
  • Collaboration with naming rights partner Ladbrokes to roll out a range of promotions aimed at punters.
  • The Tasmanian Turf Club entertaining a limited number of guests in its restaurant facilities, adhering to strict Covid-19 safety measures.
