In 2018 the Tasmanian Government made a commitment to the racing industry to establish a capital grants fund to assist community racing clubs across the state to fund infrastructure that falls outside of Tasracing’s existing infrastructure plan.
The Government’s commitment provided through Tasracing is $250,000 funding per annum for the four years 2019-2022.
Tasracing is now calling for the 2020/21 Round 2 applications of the Tasmanian Community Racing Club Infrastructure Grants Program.
Community racing clubs are an important part of the Tasmanian racing industry and are important for the growth and development of the industry.
This is particularly the case in rural and regional parts of Tasmania.
These clubs are run by hard-working, committed volunteers who contribute to the communities in which they live through these clubs.
The application process opens on Monday 3 August 2020 and closes on 11 September 2020.
