Participants are being provided the opportunity to comment on Greyhound Australasia’s proposed rule amendments regarding animal welfare and administered substances. These rules will not be effective in Tasmania until adopted by Tasracing.
The proposed rules will be discussed at the Greyhound Reference Group meeting on 11 April 2018 and participants are invited to provide feedback either directly to their GRG members or in writing to Tasracing prior to 23 March 2018.
The proposed amendments are:
GAR 1 – Definition of Prohibited Substances
GAR 1 – Norethisterone exemption
GAR 83A – Restrictions on Treatment Prior to Racing
GAR 79A – Out of Competition Testing
GAR 21A – National Ban on Consecutive Days Racing
GAR 84A – Treatment Record Requirements
