Following recommendations from the Programming Sub Committee, Tasracing has made amendments to remove the requirement of separate reserves for Grade 5 races, provide for an additional Masters race or Maiden race when called for, require greyhounds to contest and complete a race in a series before being eligible to further contest that series, conduct qualifying trials over the sprint distance at Launceston and for Maiden races to be programmed on a fortnightly basis where practical.
The Office of Racing Integrity has been advised that the programming of the OzChase system to provide for the division of grade 4 and 5 races by the number of wins is now not likely to be available until after April 2018.
