Positive Solutions: Employee Assistance Program for employees, immediate family members of employees and racing industry participants in Tasmania

Tasracing has transitioned our Employee Assistance Program provider from Relationships Australia to Positive Solutions, a Tasmanian owned and operated psychology, counselling and mediation provider. The local team at Positive Solutions are ready to welcome Tasracing staff and racing industry participants.

Scope of services

Employees and their immediate family are encouraged to utilise the confidential and free service for up to three (3) counselling sessions per calendar year, or more as approved on a case by case basis. Racing industry participants can access the program for up to two (2) counselling sessions each calendar year.

Two counselling sessions (sessions are 1 hour maximum) per person, per calendar year, will also now be available to the following groups:

  • staff members of all racing and pacing clubs in Tasmania’s racing industry;
  • veterinarians engaged by Tasracing to work at race events; and
  • volunteers working in Tasracing’s ‘Off The Track’ initiative, and Greyhound Adoption Program.

Counselling offices are located in Hobart, Burnie, Devonport and Launceston. Sessions are flexible and can be held face to face, via phone or online, whichever format is going to be most comfortable to you.


Tasracing staff have 24/7 access to the EAP, which provides greater flexibility and access to suit our industry’s varied working hours.

Existing clients

If you are currently accessing support through Relationships Australia, your program will continue until its natural completion. It is important that you maintain continuity of care with the counsellor you have been working with.
