It also means an ongoing commitment to the safety of the property of every person who enters Tasmanian racing venues.

TASRACING AND CRIMESTOPPERS TASMANIA

Tasracing is entering into its fourth year of a partnership with Crimestoppers Tasmania.

The aim of the partnership is for Tasracing to assist Crimestoppers raise general public awareness of their responsibilities to report on activity they witness which ‘isn’t right’ anywhere in the community.

Crime Stoppers Tasmania is  encouraging all Tasmanians to make the Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 number something they know and when to use it.

As we become more reliant on our phones, particularly our smart phones, and seem less keen to memorise telephone numbers, Crime Stoppers Tasmania is asking everyone who hasn’t already to store the Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 number in their phone today!

The 1800 333 000 number should be used when someone has information about a crime that has occurred. It should not be used for emergencies or to contact the police.

Things you should know

  • FREECALL on 1800 333 000 if you know anything that may help police
  • Callers can remain anonymous
  • Callers may be eligible for a cash reward (up to $2,000)
