Tasracing is pleased to announce the increase in Stakes on Longford Cup Day to be raised from the budgeted $5,000 per race to $10,000 per race for the 5 support races on the program. The Longford Cup will remain at the budgeted amount of $20,000.
The meeting was originally scheduled as a picnic meeting but after consultation with the Office of Racing Integrity (ORI), Tasmanian Turf Club (TTC) and the Tasmanian Jockeys Association (TJA), Tasracing has agreed to maintain the field sizes of 8 runners for the support races and 10 runners for the 2018 Longford Cup, which will be conducted on 1 January 2018.
