Trotting in Tasmania commences in July

Friday 4 May 2018

As part of the July launch of this spectacular form of harness racing, a Trotting Workshop hosted by Tasracing will take place in Launceston on Friday, May 11.

The Workshop’s Special Guests will be Champion Australian Trainer/Driver Lance Justice and the Chairman of Harness Racing Australia Michael Taranto.

Lance Justice is renowned as an outstanding horseman and the trainer of Interdominion Trotting Championship winner Uncle Petrika along with superstar pacers Smoken Up and Sokyola.

Lance will conduct a hands on workshop utilising a live trotter and cover subjects such as Training, Gearing and Shoeing along with offering a Q&A session for those interested.

A Tasracing representative will join Lance to answer any questions in relation to the opportunities that lay ahead with the July launch and discuss any queries that participants may have.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free Trotting Workshop – current and potential owners, trainers and harness racing enthusiasts.
All attendees are requested to meet outside the Launceston Pacing Club Office at 2.30pm.

Tasracing will provide some afternoon tea as part of this workshop.
