• The GA office is at the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club, Lightwood Rd, Springvale, Victoria. However, the successful applicant does not need to perform their duties at this location or reside in Victoria to fulfil the role.
• Some Interstate and/or overseas travel will be required.
Greyhounds Australasia Ltd. (GA) is a private company with limited member liability. GA is committed to an industry with high levels of integrity and an overarching commitment of animal care throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The role of GA Independent Chair includes independent and impartial chairing of GA Directors’ and GA Member meetings, providing advice, guidance and support to Directors and other duties and functions as delegated by the Board and reasonably required by the GA Constitution.
The role also ensures GA acts in accordance with the requirements of the Corporations Act 2001 and as required and directed by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission..
In addition, the GA Chair is the reporting line for the GA CEO on day to day matters to oversee the delivery of the GA Strategic Plan.
