Hello Everyone on the NWC
An update in relation to progress being made on the new tracks and facilities –
- A 27.16Ha site on Mill Rd opposite the Devonport Airport was secured for the project in Aug 22
- The site has room for a harness training track and stabling as part of a future ‘phase 2’ build
- Concept and functional design work has been completed in consultation with Harness and Greyhound industry working committees
- Subdivision and Development Application are in the final stages of preparation before submission to Latrobe Council next week
- Detailed design work will commence when subdivision and Development Application are before council. That is, we will be able to fine tune some aspects of the design then if needed
- Quantity Surveyors are already being engaged to conduct current price estimates
- A Greyhound track design consultation workshop is planned for 17 Nov at Spreyton
- Further updates will be provided to GRG and HIF in Nov/Dec 22, too
