Tasracing has reviewed and made changes to the Greyhound Recovery Rebate Scheme policy. The new policy is effective from 1 September 2023.
The funding cap has been raised from $3,000 to $5,500.
The Greyhound Recovery Rebate Scheme is targeting injuries that could result in euthanasia and have those greyhounds rehabilitated for a good quality life after racing.
Tasracing’s focus is to provide financial support for the treatment and rehabilitation of serious injuries sustained by greyhounds at race meetings and official trial sessions and thus minimize euthanasia as a result of such injuries.
With the changes in eligible injuries covered through this policy, if anyone is unsure, please contact Nathan Donaghy or Mike Clarke to check eligibility under the new policy.
As part of the new policy, there is a new one-page application form. This form MUST be filled out and completed prior to seeking off track veterinary assistance.
