The Greyhound Policy Manual has been updated with the below changes, with an implementation date of 1 September 2024.
Minimum Nominations Policy –
Amend clause 2.5 to have Grade 6 short sprint events higher in the programming order and to update the short sprint order to align with the sprint programming order. Add Maiden events to the list.
Race Programming Policy –
Amend clause 2.4 to remove Mixed Maiden/6 mid-distance events being scheduled.
Amend clause 2.5 to allow more flexibility programming short sprint events.
Add clause 2.6 to include Restricted Win events at every meeting over sprint and short sprint distances with a new win bracket of (4-6 wins).
Amend clause 2.9 to allow Tasbred only Grade 6 races to be programmed over the sprint and short sprint distances.
