The Tasracing Board has signed off on a business case that will be presented to the Tasmanian Government to request funding support for the development of a new greyhound training and racing facility and enhanced harness training facilities on the north west coast.
The business case was developed after Tasracing’s shareholder ministers requested that the company provide advice on a solution that would meet the needs of industry.
As notified in earlier communications, Tasracing agreed to develop the business case for the government’s consideration after it decided to cease plans to develop facilities, including training, on a greenfield site near the Devonport Airport.
Tasracing will continue to provide updates to industry stakeholders about the proposed development of facilities on the north west coast
