John Coffey, Alabar Bloodstock General Manager, will conduct Tasracing harness breeding seminars in Tasmania in late May 2016. The first will be at Carrick Park, Carrick on Thursday 26 May followed by the Brighton Hotel Motel on Friday 27 May.
Veterinarian Jade Lowe from the Longford Equine Clinic will assist Coffey at Carrick and Victorian veterinarian Virginia Brosnan, who works for Garrards Equine Veterinary Practice, will attend the Brighton seminar. The seminars are scheduled for 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm and finger food will be provided.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Statistics on foaling numbers
- Pedigrees and Race Records of successful stallions
- Pedigrees of Australasian Millionaire Pacers
- What’s in the shipping box (apart from Chocolate!)
- Animal Husbandry including care of the newborn foal
- Anecdotes from the USA/Canada
