The Tasmanian Government is expanding COVID-19 testing this week to help protect Tasmanians and get a better picture of community public health.
Pop-up mobile testing clinics will be held at the Mowbray Racecourse this week from Tuesday to Thursday between 10am and 4pm, and they will have no impact on racing trials being conducted at the venue this week.
Tasracing has confirmed that the clinics will be established in a completely separate area from the racing trials, accessible via a separate gate.
Under the Government’s Return to Racing Plan, trials are permitted across all three race codes at Mowbray Racecourse, with greyhound trials planned for Tuesday, 26 May and thoroughbred trials on Wednesday, 27 May.
Racing industry participants are also encouraged to take advantage of the testing facilities whilst they are available.
