Using a practical, evidence-based action plan, you’ll learn how to provide mental health first aid for a range of mental health problems (depression, anxiety problems, psychosis, substance use) and mental health crises (suicidal thoughts and behaviours, non-suicidal self-injury, panic attacks, traumatic events, severe states of psychosis, severe effects from alcohol or other drug use, and aggressive behaviours).
On successful completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attendance. If you successfully complete the online assessment component, you will also receive a three-year accreditation certificate as a Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid Australia.
This course is also accredited for 12 CPD points for Allied Health professions.
