Tasracing has approved the following changes to 2017 harness race programs:
Devonport 22 January
DVC22011702 – 3C0/3C1. Add – Maybe combined with C0 and barrier draw changed to PBD/TSW.
DVC22011703 – C0. Delete – AE pacers assessed C1 for at least their last 10 starts that have not won a C or M penalty race in their last 10 starts. C0 pacers selected first.
Add – Maybe combined with 3C0/3C1, barrier draw changed to PBD/TSW and distance changed to 2297 metres.
DVC22011709 – C5/C6. Add – AE C7 and C8 mares.
New Norfolk 26 January to Hobart 25 January
This meeting has been transferred from New Norfolk on 26 January to Hobart on 25 January and will be conducted by the Tasmanian Pacing Club as a twilight meeting. As the meeting will now be on Sky Racing, stake money for the Non-Winners, 3C0/3C1/C0 and the C1/C2 has been increased from $4,500 to $5,300. St Marys Race Meeting – Saturday 15 April
The St Marys race meeting that was abandoned on 31 December 2016 has been rescheduled on Saturday afternoon 15 April 2017.
Kevin Gillies Memorial – LPC 28 May
Due to the rescheduling of the St Marys meeting to 15 April 2017, which includes the $10,000 Southern Cross St Marys Cup (C5 & Better SS), the $10,000 Kevin Gillies Memorial (C4 & Better SS) has been changed from Sunday 16 April 2017 to Sunday 28 May 2017.
