Greyhound code funding allocation 2021-22

Thursday 30 September 2021

Tasracing has finalised the Code Funding Allocation for the 2021/22 season. The funding details were reviewed and recommended by the Greyhound Reference Group at its recent meeting.

The increase in funding will see a 7.71% increase on the base stake allocation to the code. The percentage increase in base stakes is not reflected in the Stakes Grids for 2021/22 due to the amount of unexpended funding from 2019/20 which was added to the allocation last year.

Tasracing is pleased to announce that the stakes for the heats of the three Group Races (Devonport Chase, Hobart Thousand and Launceston Cup) will increase by an additional $2,000 per heat this season. In addition, all graded events (and Feature Events linked to graded races) excluding Short Sprint races will increase by $150 per race.

The funding for Short Sprint races will not be increased from current levels and Tasracing will finalise a review of Short Sprint races at the December meeting of the Greyhound Reference Group.

The funding for other incentives, including the Tasbred Grade 6 Bonus, Tasbred Starter Bonus, Vaccination Assistance and the DNA Costs for Breeding Females, have been retained at current levels.

The following is the new Stakes Grid for graded events over the Sprint and Mid-Distance:
