Hello Everyone on the NWC
The NWC Tracks Project Committee met earlier today
The following was discussed –
- Tasracing is undertaking detailed assessment of two sites (Mill Rd and Bass Hwy)
- Tasracing is awaiting some final reports on both sites before discussions with the Board
- Negotiations have commenced in relation to the Mill Rd site (this does not lock us in to purchasing the site)
- Two other sites are being kept in mind
Harness industry provided further strong feedback in relation to the need for a training facility
This need was raised for Board attention after the industry forum 31 May
The Tasracing Board will take this into consideration when deciding on a preferred site or sites
