Greyhounds Tasmania which consists of the three Tasmanian Greyhound Racing Clubs, Hobart Greyhound Racing Club, Launceston Greyhound Racing Club and North West Greyhound Racing Club supported by Tasracing, will be holding a special charity race night at Ladbrokes Park, Elwick on Thursday 29 June 2023.
All money raised on the night will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Hobart.
All programmed races on the night will be increased by $5,000.00 per race. The main event on the program will be a Best 8, which will have stakes increased by $10,000.00. This race will be called the Ronald McDonald House Charity Cup.
It is expected the evening will raise more than $30,000.00, which will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities. There will be a corporate function associated with the race meeting. Tables for this event can be purchased for $1,000 for a table of ten. Five hundred dollars from each table sold will go direct to the charity. The evening will be hosted by well-known MC Brent Costelloe and guest speakers include Todd Russell, Fiona Millerchip and Matthew Armstrong. A major raffle has been organised.
Tasracing TV will live host the race meeting.
