The second running of the Flinders Island Cup meeting in Launceston, raising funds and awareness of Neuroendocrine cancer, has been hailed as a success.
Over $60,000, up from $45,000 in 2022, was raised for the cause through a number of on-course auctions, raffles, and donations from Tasracing and the three Launceston Racing Clubs.
Prominent racehorse owner Rob Hammond suffers from Neuroendocrine cancer and spoke passionately about the 27 October meeting during an interview on TasracingTV. View the replay of that interview here.
Ongoing tax-deductible donations, can be made to Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia directly via https://neuroendocrine.org.au/donations/
