Harness Racing Australia (HRA) is advising the harness racing industry of it’s intent to implement and enforce a ban on the use of anabolic steroids from 1 May, 2014 in Standardbreds.
HRA Members, the Executive and Chairmen of Stewards have all agreed in principle to the prohibition of anabolic steroids, with the National Rules Committee to consider the recommended changes at a meeting on Thursday, 5 December 2013.
Notice is being given now in an effort to inform and advise the industry of the pending introduction of the new rule come 1 May 2014.
