Tasracing advises that following the successful trial of Benchmark 72 Handicap and Benchmark 82 Handicap races, through August and September 2014, amendments will now be made to races programmed for the months of October and November 2014.
Races programmed as Benchmark 68 will be reclassified to Benchmark 72 races (these races will carry total prizemoney of $14,000) and races programmed as Benchmark 78 will be reclassified to Benchmark 82 races (with total prizemoney of $16,000).
The first meeting for which these changes will apply will be for the Hobart race meeting on Sunday 5 October and nominations for this meeting will close at 12 noon on Monday 29 September 2014.
