Tasracing notes Ray Murrihy’s interim report into Tasmanian harness racing.
It also notes that the report is still an interim report which made a series of statements related to ratings, programming and balloting.
Tasracing provide the following update to industry.
- There will be no changes made to the existing published programmed races up till the end of November.
- The Programming Sub-committee will meet on 9 October to discuss the December to March programs. It is Tasracing’s intention to only finalise the December programs.
- This approach will allow time for Tasracing to be provided the final report and consider any further changes to be implemented from 1 January 2024. Importantly, this also allows time to engage with industry stakeholders as appropriate when the final report is provided.
In the meantime, we look forward to receiving the final Murrihy Report in full and will consider any further recommendations / comments at that time.
