Thoroughbred Code Funding Allocation 2022-23
Tasracing in conjunction with the Thoroughbred Advisory Network is pleased to announce that from 1 October 2022 the Code Funding Allocation for 2022/23 will be implemented resulting in the following for the industry.
Base stakes to increase:
- MDN to BM70 increased from $22,500 to $24,000
- Age MDN increased from $25,000 to $27,000
- CL3 to BM71+ increased from $25,000 to $27,000
- Age HCP increased from $27,000 to $30,000
- Open HCP increased from $30,000 to $35,000
The following LISTED Races will be increased
- Newmarket HCP raised from $125k to $150k
- Conquering Stakes raised from $100k to $125k
- Elwick Stakes raised from $100k to $125k
- Launceston Guineas raised from $100k to $125k
- Strutt Stakes raised from $100k to $125k
The following FEATURE Races will be increased:
- Devonport Cup raised from $100k to $125k
- Goodwood HCP raised from $30k to $50k
- Longford Cup raised from $30k to $35k
- 3YO Cup raised from $100k to $125k
- Golden Mile raised from $30k to $50k
- Alfa Bowl raised from $30k to $50k
- 3YO Trophy raised from $50k to $75k
- Winzenburg Qlty raised from $30k to $50k
- Alexandra Plate raised from $30k to $50k
- Brighton Cup raised from $30k to $50k
- Thousand Guineas raised from $50k to $75k
- Ladbrokes Stakes raised from $50k to $75k
- Sydeston Cup raised from $30k to $50k
- 3YO Classic raised from $75k to $100k
The following FEATURE race will be added to the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival:
22nd January 2022 – HOBART – 3YO – $75k “Blackflash” – 1100m
Riding fees increases:
- An increase to Riding Fees – $206 to $215
- An increase to Riding Fees in June, July, and August to $260
- An increase to Trial Riding Fees – $60 to $65
