Tasmania has a proud, rich heritage in thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing dating to Tasmania’s early history. Many of the state’s racing clubs are administered, staffed and patronised by the second, third, fourth and fifth generations of racing families.
Tasmania’s racing clubs all share one thing in common – a deep passion for the sport of racing.
This racing passion is transferred to every member and guest who visits a racing club in Tasmania, and is the key to the long term sustainability of our industry. Without it, there would be no next generation of owners, trainers, jockeys, drivers and club members.
Tasracing aims to work collaboratively with all racing clubs with the aim of achieving vibrant, sustainable racing clubs across all three codes of racing.

WAGERING OPERATORS
Tasracing derives it’s commercial revenue from Race Field Fees charged to the growing number of Australian and overseas wagering operators providing markets on Tasmanian racing. This makes every wagering operator a close partner of the company, with mutual interest in growing wagering customer demand for Tasmanian racing.
