PASSION FOR RACING?
If you want to get involved with racing, there are many opportunities to do so!
From joining a racing club, to pursuing a career as a trainer, jockey or driver, to employment opportunities within clubs, at racing stables/kennels or at Tasracing.
You can also get involved in volunteering your time in relation to the Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP).
You may own and compete with an ‘off the track’ thoroughbred, in which case you and your horse could pursue one of our Off the Track (OTT) awards during the year.
You might also be looking for your next leisure horse in which case we can assist you to source a suitable OTT Thoroughbred.

STARTING A RACING CAREER – OPPORTUNITIES
Tasracing facilitates a number of programs designed to provide entry into a racing career. Contact our HR Manager to find out more.
Tasracing runs a ‘Racing in Schools’ program each year which provides a full day of interactive engagement for a group of students in each main aspect of the racing industry. The day is designed to give students a broad overview of the industry to help them decide if there is a particular stream of the racing industry they are interesting in pursuing as a career.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Tasracing is always interested to hear from students interested in pursuing an opportunity to obtain first hand insight into any of the roles involved in racing administration. Contact us.
PONY TROTS
