Following the review of outcomes from the current trial of trotting in Tasmania, Tasracing has determined that the trial will be extended through to 31 December 2019.
During this time an Industry Development Plan for Harness racing in Tasmania will be prepared.
This Development Plan will cover all aspects of harness racing, identifying the challenges faced and strategies to address them. In the construction of this plan Tasracing will engage with representatives from all areas of harness racing and take submissions from participants.
Further details will be provided over the next few weeks as the terms of the plan are developed.
